What Causes Frequent Seizures In Child?

My son will be 11 months old on the 23rd. He has had 2 seizures within the last month and was diagnosed today with a grade II/VI heart murmur and was referred to Pediatric neurologist and a pediatric cardiologist. His half brother on his father s side just turned 6 and has had numerous open heart surgeries and has a pacemaker. Could my son s heart murmur be causing his seizures and could he have a major heart problem since his brother has heart problems?

Hi...with this information, I cannot be sure that this murmur could be the cause of the seizures he has got. Regarding genetic predisposition it can be expected that it might be existent as the kids are half brothers. One needs to do a genetic analysis and draw out a pedigree chart after a proper diagnosis is established in both.
