What Causes Frequent Facial Flushing And Sweating?

I have excessive sweating from the forehead and face with minimal exertion. My face flushes when I am sitting or at rest or when I first get up in the morning. I don t know if they are related but both things just started happening recently - I live a fairly sedentary lifestyle because of lower back pain and pain in my hip/pelvis joints and knees but the doctor keeps telling me there is nothing wrong except minor arthritis. I am 67 years old and weigh 235 lbs.

Hi,
For excessive sweating kindly get a thyroid profile test and cortisol levels done .Sweating may be seen in some hormonal imbalances.

For knee and pelvic pain kindly visit an orthopaedician for a knee Xray to diagnose the problem.
You will be given medications like analgesics to relieve the pain along with biphosphonates and vitamin D supplements to reduce bone erosion.
Regards,
Dr.Riyanka
