What Causes Frequent Diarrhea?

I have an eight month old baby boy... in the early of last month he had a loose motion.. then Doctors suggested antibiotic.. he got cured.. again after 10 days he got huge cold and loose motion.. doctors suggested antibiotic... again today he had toilets for 4 times within 8 hours... what should I do?? Please suggest me...

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. Hope my answer was helpful for you. By what you quote i think he should be evaluated thoroughly. I have few questions and suggestions for you -
Questions:
1. What was his birth weight?
2. What was his weight before this started 1 month back?
3. What is his current weight?
4. Does he have any other serious infections till now?
5. Is there any family history of irritable bowel disease or inflammatory bowel disease or celiac disease?
Suggestions:
1. He needs work up for celiac disease/ inflammatory disease?
2. Needs work up for immunodeficiency?
3. He might require a upper GI endocscopy and colonoscopy and biopsy.
