General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Pooping for 15-20 times for a 8 week old baby is not normal.

This could be due to:
- change in feeding milk you might have started recently
- if you are breastfeeding, it could be due to changes in the food/drinks you consume
- lactose intolerance

I highly recommend to contact your pediatrician in order to determine the right cause to his frequent poops.

Please take note that a baby should not have such frequent poops as he needs to gain weight. If he passes the stool frequently, the milk is not well digested and nutrient not properly digested.

Again, this not normal, contact further with his pediatrician.
