What Causes Frequent Bowel Movement In An Infant?

My daughter is 4 months old. She s only breat feeding. She s excreting 15-18 times a day since last 8 days. motions after few minutes turn green. First 2 days I gave her homeopathic treatment. Then turned to a doc on phone he gave Norfloxacin supension 2.5mlx2/day & Darolac500mgx2/day, After one day he included wikoryl oral drops 4dropsx3/day & Bactrim Syp.2.5mlx2/day. continued it for 2 days. Seeing no effect, I gone to gov. hospital told them all & he prescribed Darolac500mgx2/day, Bactrim Syp.2.5mlx2/day, Zinc sulphate oral solution 2.5mlx2/day(10 days), ORS1/2spoonx2/day & Nitazoxanide for Oral suspension 2.5mlx2/day. Today morning after three days I again consulted, they have stopped Bactrim Syp on my request and kept other things same. She s not even better today. Tell me what do I do?

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. It seems your kid is having acute watery diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhea. I suggest you use zinc supplements Z and D drops 1ml once daily for 14 days) & ORS...
