I am a 32 year old female who has 5 children after my last child i had a iud put in every since i have had female issues. I have a discharge that smells bad and bleaches my underwear if i wear coloed ones. It seems no matter how much i cleanse it still smells bad. I can understand your concern.
Your symptoms suggest vaginal infection. You need culture of vaginal swab followed by specific treatment for the organism detected It can be bacterial/ fungal. Treatment must be taken by both sex partners.
The Iud should be removed- for fear of carrying infection in uterus . Treatment with abstinence till the infection is removed . This may be followed by fresh IUD /alternative contraceptive.
