Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I lost a month pregnancy like 2yrs ago and ever since then I notice my urine has been smelling awful, I went to a pharmacy and was given cipro which stopped it and reoccured again, please what do I do to finally stop it because it smells awful first thing in the morning when I urinate, but after drinking water or green tea the smell vanishes. I just need an anti biotic to be sure it s not something causing it or maybe I need an evacuation due to genitourinary infection or otherwise cause I feel like something is below my uterus like heat which isn t too good, though I don t feel any pain.
Your symptoms are possibly due to underlying Urinary tract infection. Urine analysis and culture can confirm the diagnosis UTI is treated with antibiotics like Bactrim.
Since you have been having chronic and recurrent symptoms, a detailed evaluation to rule out any kidney stones or other abnormalities need to be done Pelvic Ultrasound, CT/Xray of kidney, ureter, bladder is required at this point.
Meanwhile, drink plenty of fluids. Take Tylenol, if pain develops.
Hope this answers your question Please address further questions here Regards Dr.Lekshmi
