What Causes Foot And Toe Numbness, Tingling, Bruising With Swelling?

I had an xray on Tuesday to see if I have fracture in my right foot/ ankle, results due tomorrow. I had a ice pack on my foot for approx 20 mins about 40 mins ago. My foot is still cold from it, and have a numbness feeling in my little toe, I can feel to touch, this is a bit of a concern to me, plus I get a tingling sensation at times? I have green bruising with swelling around too.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you had injury your right foot and ankle.You are awaiting x-ray report. Till then icing it will be helpful. Keep foot and ankle elevated on pillow to reduce/prevent swelling.You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. are worried about numbness, it may be due to swelling add edema, so no need to worry much.Tingling sensation at time may also be due to injury to cutaneous nerve which will gradually recover. Vitamin B and C help in recovery. You also has green bruising with swelling around it, this is subcutaneous hematoma, it will gradually resolve. You You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
