What Causes Food Intolerance Associated With Loose Bowel Movement And Stomach Ache?

Hi,I am experiencing many kinds of food intolerance and sometimes, immediately after I ve eaten simple foods, I have to race to the bathroom with very loose stools, not necessarily diarrhea. My doctor assumes its GERD, but I m not experiencing those kinds of symptoms. I ve asked to have a food allergy test, but I really think I have developed food intolerances. Can t eat tomato sauce, bread, yogurt, wine, and bacon without getting a stomach ache, followed by a long sit-down with my iPhone, so to speak.I m concerned about what questions to ask, and what answers I should expect in return. Sometimes, when I bend over, I feel as though I have a lump in my stomach. I am a 68 year old woman in good health, good blood pressure, exercise regularly, but I feel sick after I eat.

A food allergy test is a very good idea.

You may also want to consider a food diary where you note down your meals ( and ingredients if possible ) . This would also allow you to determine if there are specific foods causing the problem.

A referral from your doctor to a gastrenterologist, would also be helpful. These are doctors that specialize and deal with problem of the gastrointestinal tract.
Based on your description, Gerd, is not likely.
