What Causes Fluttering In Heart?

I was diagnosed with PAC two years ago. Other than a fluttering feeling when they happen I am asymptomatic. My new Dr. sent my most recent ecg to a cardiologist who believes they are not normal for a person my age. I am 57. Do I need further investigation like and echo-cardiogram?

Hi,

Some amount of PACs can be seen even in healthy adults, if they are not more than 400 a day, there is nothing to be concerned.
In case they are frequent I would advise you to undergo holter monitoring, which is an examination, during which an 24h ECG is recorded and have echocardiography done.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
