General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello Nagaraj
thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. as per your discription there are multiple problems occuring at same time which may not be related to surgery.
first oozing as it is there since long time from the operated site it seems to be secondary osteomylitis. i would suggest you to have a xray of operated area and consult your orthopedician. treatment modalities are different which depends on x ray findings and some other evaluation.
swelling in both legs is an inevitable complication in case of both legs operated in 67 yr old person. lack of mobility enhances it furthere. it is like stasis of blood due to less mobility. i would suggest you to ask your mother to keep legs elevated with 2 pillows while sleeping and a physiotherapyst can be consulted.
i hope i answered your concern
thank you and regards
