What Causes Fluid In The Chest Cavity After Thorascopic Wedge Resection?

I just had a therascopic wedge resection of center right lobe of Lung , 24 hrs after suregery chest tube was removed and waited 4 hrs did a chest x-ray all looked very good sent me home have been home 2 days and I can hear fliud in chest cavity, is this a problem

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should first get done repeat chest x ray.
Post procedure pleural effusion can be seen in many conditions ,but the common ones are
1. Reactionary effusion.
2. Infective effusion.
3. Leakage from bleeder (small arteries may left open by mistake and slow blood trickle can be seen.
So better to get done chest x ray again. If fluid quantity is more than you may need diagnostic aspiration. And treatment according to the cause. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
