My sister in law has fluid drained from her lng(s) every four hours by inserting a tube through her nose. The fluid has recently changed color from nearly clear to almost black. Her doctors don t seem concerned. Should I and her family be concerned?
Hello Either I am wrong or you mentioned wrong thing in your query . A tube passed through nose in LUNGS ( lung ) and after every 4 hour they drain black color fluid from lungs ?? A chest tube placement require in pneumothorax patient . Usually fluid drained from pleura of patient ( simulate as tube in lungs ) . As far as known to me through nose tube is inserted in stomach and fluid drained from stomach . So please upload all reports or confirm it ( tube ) whether it is in lungs or in stomach. Hope this will help you.
