What Causes Fluid Drainage From Left Leg After Placing An Implant?
yes my inplant on my left leg kept filling with fluid which he drained 3 times.then he wanted to do a culture surgery.he said he would do some swabs and take a bone specimen which he would have to let it set 3 to 4 weeks in a plant like invirement.well after the surgery went to ckeckup and he said he did not do the bone culture but he let the swahs set two weeks which he said was neg.well 2-3 mweeks later it opened up red and pussing,he did a second culture surgery and now it is red and tender and the leg is swelling with fluid.what should I do
Hello and welcome to HCM. As a specialist, i can understand your concern. After a major surgery, fluid discharge is suggestive of infection. That's why a culture was taken,so that specific antibiotic can be given. An implant must remain, in an infection free environment. From your description of the discharge, infection isn't cleared.
