What Causes Fluctuating GGT Levels After Quitting Drinking Wine?

Hi, I was drinking wine for 8 month on regular basis. My ggt was 79. I quit alcohol. It was lower to 58 then it came higher again 66. I did a lot of blood test that letting the ggt high like ferritin & copper... All came perfect. What could it be and if the reason is from alcohol. Why it flan hate thigh I quit? How much time it take to go to normal level

These are not high levels. Some residual scarring of the gut certainly can do that. other irritants of the liver (I've had patients with severe cirrhosis from organic chemicals from breathing solvents daily for years without any ventillation), or other conditions such as hepatitis. Often no cause is foound for irritaiton of the liver with enzyme levels double normal or less.
