What Causes Flashes In The Line Of Vision Post A Cataract Surgery?

I had cataract removal and intraocular lens (monocular) lens implant surgery on 17 Feb (18 days ago). Everything went well and I had a successful outcome. My vision was restored to 20/40 with no visual effects (clear vision). I was nearly blind prior to surgery. I had a pars plan vitrectomy in Sept, 2015 due to two retinal separations in same eye. Healing di not go well and I had a Macular pucker surgery 0n 02 March, 2016. My eye recovered okay except for nasty cataract which followed. Hence the aforementioned cataract surgery on 17 Feb. Now I have a new problem. This past Thursday evening, 02 March, my vison in the operative eye suddenly began to experience large bright starbursts of light form every bright object in the ight. Headlights, traffic lights, street lights all produce a bright, steady, blinding symmetrical starburst of light that tends to obliterate any other visual signal. I had to drive home with my eye shut! The next morning I was back in my Opthamologists office first thing. He examined my eye and said everything looked fine. He said he didn t know what it was, that maybe it will go away , which it hasn t. I am currently using prednisolone and bromfenac drops once day. I initially took these plus gatifloxin and combigan drops four times a day for the first two weeks. I am scheduled to continue the prednisolone/bromfenac therapy for two more weeks. I am also taking levofloxacin, tussionex, Flonase, and azelastine to try to knock down a nasty sinus and chest infection I ve had all winter. I am very scared about my vision problem. I live alone and I am afraid to drive at night. BTW, if you were wondering, I don t have any of the starburst symptoms in the daytime, in ambient room light, no floaters, no shadows, and no shooters . DO YOU HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT MAY BE GOING ON HERE? Should I discontinue the prednisolone or bromfenac?
