Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 68 year old husband is experiencing fever and chills. He has been feeling pressure on chest for two weeks, although it is better right now. he was given a prescription for tessalon pearls and a bronchial inhaler. he went to doctor and hospital yesterday. they did x-rays and blood tests. the x-rays were negative at a local clinic; they sent him to local hospital. he has had fever and chills all night. he has a lack of appetite. he had cream of wheat at 9 am. he couldn t eat at 1 pm because he was shaking so much. that was 4 hours ago. he still hasn t had anything to eat since the cereal. he took two acetaminophen 4 hours ago. he is still warm but not as hot as yesterday. two weeks ago he was bitten by a spider. he refuses to go back to the doctor and I have a nurse friend who is giving me dire information about endocarditis infection or blood infection causing the shakes. I am not sure what to think. Marilyn
