What Causes Fever Along With Chills And Swollen Knees?

Our daughter, age 29, recently in North Carolina picked wild flowers for a wedding she was in attendance. Two weeks later, fever, chills, night sweats and swollen knees to the point that she can t bend them. Obtained blood work yesterday. WBC slightly low, Liver enzymes very slightly elevated. Thyroid function fine. Will run a mono test on Monday. Requested Lyme disease test yesterday as well. Results probably not back until Wednesday with the holiday. Taking Advil, 2 every 4-6 hours with no relief. In contact with her doctor. Should she start a broad spectrum antibiotic now? She has some Cipro at her home that she could start. I have asked her to send me a picture of her knees. I m really concerned. I m a nurse and trying to get her a little more comfortable and reduce her anxiety. Any thoughts?
