What Causes Fetal Abnormality On Pregnancy Scan?

The baby looks normal except for a questionable area of the heart. This is usually Fine. However, since you are 40 and had decided not to do Genetic Screening or Diagnostic Genetic testing, Yvonne wanted to know if you wanted to reconsider this option. The area of the heart can sometimes be related to other fetal abnormalities. Should I be worry?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Sometimes a grey area in the heart of the fetusbis seen during scheduled ultrasound investigations, but in most cases this is found to be normal. But there have been cases wherein the child has been born with some cardiac abnormalities. Please discuss this in detail with your doctor, I cannot comment on this without examining the ultrasound myself.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

Best wishes.
