What Causes Fatigue, Loss Of Appetite And Numb Hands Following Gastroenteritis?

Hi, my boyfriend just returned from the hospital this morning for gastroenteritis. He's 23, 5'11", 160 lbs and has no medical history. He was released this afternoon, but since being home, he's been very fatigued, not hungry, and both his hands are slightly numb. No fever, and his pulse is 72. Should I be concerned about this?
