What Causes Fatigue After Bowel Movement?

Hi, I am Pramod, Mumbai , age 30 , weight 88kg, ht=178cm ,medical history - average , last time i was having temp 15 months back thats all.....now about my problem ..My energy is zapped immediately after a bowel movement. This morning I was awake and active for initially before my first bowel movement. About 10 minutes after my first bowel movement, my energy started draining from my muscles. After about 20 minutes, I had to sit down and preferably lie down, feeling fatigue ,exhausted.. desperately wants sleep ...i have to reach office in time ....this is trouble for me now
I AM NOT straining to go or pushing too hard. I have no idea why it happens or why it goes away after some days - I am not doing or eating anything different.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
This is very rare phenomenon of having drained energy, fatigue and feeling exhausted after passing bowel movement.
The most probable causes can be as follows:
Proctocolitis that can drain the electrolytes from intestines so that you are getting such symptoms.
Vaso-vagal preponderance can be another reason getting instigated by bowel movement.
Associated other medical problems can also be reasons.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation;:
Tests of stool.
Tests of blood for CBC, electrolytes, liver, thyroid and kidney functions.
Colonoscopy is mandatory.
Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon can help further get a proper diagnosis and get a plan of proper management.
If the electrolytes are reduced you may need to take electrolyte solution when in attack. Further management will be as per the findings of the tests and clinical examination.
