What Causes Fainting And Occasional Headaches To A 5 Year Old?

My 5 year old fainted today at pre-school. She occasionally complains of headaches? We went to the hospital and waited 3 hours in the waiting room so we left and figured we would take her to her pediatrician tomorrow. She seems fine now 6 hours after the fainting spell? Any thoughts?

Hi
Fainting spells can be due to variour reasons in this age group. Most common causes are vasovagal syncope and anemia. But medical conditions such as seizures, hypotension, arrhythmias, panic attacks etc needs to be ruled out.
So, I would recommend you to visit your pediatrician as planned for complete examination and assessment.

Hopefully this will help you.
Take care
