Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father, a 75 year old man, has fainted/passed out 3 times in the past week. He feels it coming on and becomes disoriented for a period of time. When he faints he is unconscious for a few minutes. Last night was the most recent episode. Ambulance was called. BP 90/50 and high heart rate. He refused treatment and was not evaluated further. Should he seek immediate attention or can he or should he wait to see a PCP? Non-smoker,Type 2 Diabetes, collapsed retina in left eye. Refused to take most recently prescribed medication for diabetes and blood pressure.
