What Causes Extreme Paleness In Face After Exercise?

Hi doc, I am 29 years old. I consider myself to be fit and do exercise pretty much everyday, a mix of weights, cardio and boxing style training. I have a slight skipped beat of the heart especially when drinking caffeine, lack of sleep and when anxious. My question is when I exercise especially afterwards and towards the end I go really pale in the face. Like ghost white to a point when people are asking me if I am alright. I have not noticed any other symptoms, but sometimes when it is vigorous exercise I do notice skipped beats afterwards and a feeling of anxiousness. After a shower and some food it normally returns to normal and if anything goes flushed like it does sometimes during the day. I am wondering if this is normal and weather this is linked to something with my heart or anything else? Is it best to get checked out? Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
This could be explained by a simple reflex action. During exercise, there is the stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system that causes generalized constriction of blood vessels. This could temporarily manifest itself in the form of pallor. Kind regards
