What Causes Extreme Muscle Spasms In Chest Along With Acid Reflux?

I have been experiencing extreme muscle spasms in my chest, across my shoulders and around my throat area that has made swallowing difficult and if I try to eat, I get severe hiccups and acid reflux. I also get pain across my lower jaw that extends to my ears. Swelling on the right shoulder at the base of my neck and pain in both arms. Also swelling in my right forearm and the musle at the elbow feels likes it is being restricted. Pain is tremendous down back and in my pelvic area

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of extreme muscle spasms in chest along with acid reflux which is a very common problem due to excessive production of acid. Need not to worry. Treatment of acid reflux depend upon taking medicine and alteration in lifestyle. You should take plenty of fluids. You should take oral rehydrating solution as well. I would suggest you to avoid spicy and heavy meal specially at night. Eat at least one hour before going to bed, take a light walk for 15-20 mins after every meal , take antacid after every meal like gelusil. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit gastroenterologist once and start treatment after complete prescription. Doctor may prescribe proton pump inhibitor , H 2 blockers along with antacid .
