What Causes Extreme Dizziness And Loss Of Balance After A Head Injury?

A month ago I took a nasty fall and slammed my head (toward the whole left side of my head but near the back on a tile floor coming downstairs). It comes and goes, but every couple of days when I get out of bed or bend over, all of a sudden my world is turned upside down and I am extremely dizzy and feel off-balance for 5-6 hours afterwards. It actually caused me to fall to my knees today. I have had a CT scan of my brain two days after it happened and an MRI of my brain along with a CT scan of my neck (which fused C4-C7) and head and neck xrays today. They do not believe I have vertigo because I do not have the typical eye movement of someone with Vertigo. I am still waiting to hear back from my doctor today. Is this typical after I was diagnosed with a concussion to experience these symptoms?
