What Causes Exertion With Pounding In Heart?

Hi, I'm a 55 yr old female. For past 3 years have had chest pounding and dizzieness with exertion, told it was exercise induced asthma. Lately it is happening from just running up stairs. Bp has gone from 190/80 and back down to 115/84 the next day. pulse is around 100.

Had EKG which was normal but I feel I am exerting myself very little and getting a pounding chest and sob. Do you think I have heart issues?

thanks

Hi,
Welcome.
Chest pounding with giddiness in a patient of asthma can be associated heart disease. You need certain tests to rule it out.
These tests include a 2D Echo, 24hr Holter Monitoring. If they are normal chances of associated heart disease is less likely.
Further your bp is very high. I recommend regular monitoring of bp & this may need treatment if the bp persistently remains high.
Thanks
