What Causes Excessive Weight Gain While On Doxycycline Hyclate?

Hi, I have been taking Doxycycline Hyclate for the past 3 days and have gained 5 lbs. without changing my diet and exercise :/. I know that it s the pill that s making me gain the weight, but I m just not sure if it s a water retention where I would lose it right away after I stop taking it. I still have 4 more days to go :(. Once I stop the pill, how long will it take for me to start going back to my old weight? Thanks.

There is no Fluid retention reported by people who take Doxycycline yet.
However expired Doxycyclin may cause a severe Kidney affectation.
Check the expiry date on the strip and then use it. Your weight gain may be because of something else.
