What Causes Excessive Vaginal Bleeding After Child Birth?

I had a baby November 2015, I have been bleeding since, nonstop everyday. I stopped bleeding for 2 weeks, and then randomly started bleeding again. I lost 3oz of blood in labor and now I feel like I m losing alot of blood I have gone to ER before but they didn t tell me nothing all they said was it s my body adjusting. I also had got the arm birth control December 2015

It would be best for you to see your gynecologist for an assessment because this length of bleeding is too long and the cause needs to be determined.

This would require a thorough history and physical examination focusing on the abdomen and pelvis.
Imaging such as ultrasound would be needed to a look at the uterus.

In the majority of cases, the symptoms are due to benign causes (non cancerous changes) such as fibroids , infection, endometriosis, polyps, abnormal hormone levels.
