What Causes Excessive Tiredness?

i am 56 and for years have felt tierd all the time.but now its just frustrating i can sleep 12 hours nothing ive.com.au wakes me go to loo and sleep all night this is affecting my life terrible.also hot flushes have increased too at least one every half hour. perrysue@l

You mentioned that you do have symptoms like tiredness from years. Did you do any visit or examination during this time?
I would recommend to check your thyroid function because your symptoms may be related to an hypofunction of the thyroid gland. A full blood count, cortisol level, vit D level would be also helpful but you have to talk to your doctor and to rule out all the above mentioned causes.
