What Causes Excessive Talking Despite Giving Seroquel And Melatonin In An Alzheimer S Patient?
My mom is 97 1/2 and has Alzheimer s. She goes through these bouts where she is up for 24 hours straight talking the whole time. She often says she wants to go home and becomes agitated if she thinks we re not listening. The dr. Prescribed seroquel, but that does not always get her to sleep. The dr. Had us start with one pill for 3 days and then up to 3 pills. Some nights it doesn t make any difference. I have tried melatonin and that does not calm her down enough for her to sleep. It isn t until she is so exhausted that she falls asleep and then will sleep 10-12 hours. Help
