What Causes Excessive Sweating, Upper Abdominal Pain And Severe Nausea?

I ve been experiencing severe sweating(dripping ),with upper abdominal pressure/pain, and severe nausea attacks that send me by ambulance to the ER. These attacks are unbearable and render me immobile, soaking wet and white as a ghost. I ve had 2 of these in the past 2 months. I had my gall bladder removed when a CT scan showed gall stones after the first attack. I thought I was cured until a month later,I had the same horrific attack and again had to go by ambulance to the ER. They didn t really know what was wrong, other than minor constipation. Please help me,I am afraid to go to sleep for fear that I ll be awakened again by such an attack. I am a 56 year old healthy female (or at least I was) and really need advice. Thank you. I have no money at this time. I am scared and need help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your question in HCM. Very sorry to hear about your condition.
As per your history you had been to ER couple of times due to the similar attack and I hope that time ECG, Echocardiography and all other necessary investigations have been done. If all the reports came to be normal and you have been diagnosed only with constipation, then you don't have to worry at all. You might be getting this attack because of anxiety or Fear. There are 2 ways to overcome this, one is to counsel a psychiatrist and other is to relax and keep your mind cool with some relaxation techniques like meditation, yoga, breathing exercise, listening good music, or following your hobbies.
However , Post Gall bladder surgery, it is common to suffer from constipation, indigestion, acid peptic disorder which also causes upper abdomen pain, nausea, vomiting and sweating. Taking Antacid tablet with domperidone combination like Pan-D twice daily before food, drinking plenty of fluids, high fibre diet, lots of vegetables will help to reduce the symptoms. Avoid spicy, oily food, avoid caffeine at night, avoid heavy meals at night, early dinner and a 10 mins walk post dinner will help in proper digestion and sound sleep.
Hope it helps.Get well soon.
