What Causes Excessive Sweating At The Age Of 30?

Hi, I am 30 yrs old and I sweat excessively. My mother is hypothyroid, has high cholesterol levels, and has diabetes, father has hypertension and high cholesterol levels. Which test should i go for to know if i have some issues with my thyroid? please suggest. Thanx

Thanks for your query to Healthcaremagic.I understand your concern.According to me, excessive sweating are usually associated with cardiac problems,anxiety,hyperthyroidism,certain drugs.I usually suggest my patients initially to get fasting TSH,FT3,FT4 levels,thyroid scintigraphy to identify any deviation in normal thyroid function.Hope I have answered your query.If you have further queries,wish to assist you.Take care.
