What Causes Excessive Sweating After Menopause?

When I should have been coming out of menopause (3-4 years after stopping menses) I began sweating profusely, and the smell is very sweet, not BO. The sweating is most on my head/face but extends to entire body over time (not a long time). I thought first it was stress, as it seemed to happen when I went into a meeting or got up for a presentation, but now it happens even when sitting down and doing nothing. I go from freezing to sweating in a very short period. I ve been walking outside at 35 degrees F and sweating profusely. Any ideas? Not diabetic, parathyroid recently removed, hypothyroid under control, BP under control.
