What Causes Excessive Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

Hi how are you? I am 31 year old female. I have an 8th month old. I finished my period a week ago but have started bleeding heavily again. I am not on the pill. I am sexually active. This has never happened before can you shed some light for me? My cycle is regular I m usually like clockwork.

Hi welcome to health care magic....

Usually according to the history you are having regular period....

This time you are having intermenstrual bleeding... So pelvic examination and per speculum examination should be done...

If needed vaginal swab taken and sent for culture for rule out infection.....
And if needed pap smear needs to taken for further work up.....

USG will help in rule out PID and ovarian causes if present....

If cycle going on frequent irregular with heavy menses than primolute N like drug can be prescribed...

If period delayed than pregnancy test done
