What Causes Excessive Belching And A Shadow According To A CT Scan?

My dad has had excessive belching for a while now to the point where he can t even has a conversation without a series of burps. He has severe headaches above his left eye and has had a ct scan today - he had a chest x ray which showed a shadow on his left lung. We are awaiting a chest ct. He also has lost his voice and been reduced to a meer whisper for a fortnight now. He is very tired and lost quite a bit weight. His bloods were all fine other than a raised white cell count. His BP sats and o2 levels were all fine. Could you help shed any light on this while we are awaiting results? Could the belching have been the first sign of lung cancer?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, throat examination need to be done, gastroscopy may also helps, esophagitis need to be ruled out, it is very early to say anything about the malignancy the most common cause would be GERD (Gastric Esophagus Reflex Disease) hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
