What Causes Excess Saliva In Mouth While Sleeping?

I got diagnosed with strep throat. But all throughout the day my body keeps producing excessive saliva. I dont really care throughout the day, but at night when i try to sleep, every minute or two, i wake up with a mouth full of saliva and either have to swallow it (which feels like im swallowing glass) or spit it out. both which keep me awake. Is there a way to have my body not produce saliva at least while im sleeping? or at least something i can take that i can sleep through it all?

Hi,
I have gone through your query; it suggests that you may be suffering from the gingivitis and it may be the possible cause of your excessive saliva. For exclusion of the other disease and for better management send me the picture of your throat. If you want temporary relieve then you may use glycopyrollate tablet for reduction of saliva after consulting your doctor.

thanks
