Hi Dear ,
Welcome to HCM,
Understanding you concern. As per your query you have episodes of vertigo in a diabetic patient . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection,
head injury , certain medications and due to meniere's disease ,
acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis migraines .
Low blood sugar level or low iron level can also cause such problems .Sometimes infection from upper respiratory track infection or from lymph nodes spread to ear through eustachian tube and cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to
consult ENT specialist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI ,
blood test , audiometery test, and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drugs along with gentamicin at least for a week , doctor may also recommend vestibular therapy . Drink green tea with ginger thrice a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
