What Causes Epigastric Pain After Eating Food?

i have pain in epigastric region more especially after eating and drinking water. I have GERD; frequent burping; but it bothers me when i have pain. I am already taking Protonix 40mg which does not help me when i feel this way.What should i take that will help me?

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist. Pain in epigastric area may be due to peptic ulcer, gall bladder disease or pancreas. So I will advise you to get an ultrasound and endoscopy examination. Meanwhile continue with protonix. And add prokinetic agent like domperidone and an antispasmodic agent like drotavarine.
