What Causes Enlarged Right Tonsil With Pain And Pressure Behind Right Ear?
I have an enlarged right tonsil which had pain initially but the pain has subsided but still in enlarged. I saw a doctor, and he prescribed a steroid pack and antibiotic. I am wondering what could be causing this just on my right side only. I have a history of tonsillitis. I am 58 years old. I also feel some pressure behind my right ear. Do you think it's all related?

persons with episodes of tonsillitis may land up with peritonsillar abscess with symptoms of fever, excessive salivation, painful swallowing. as ur age 58 , unilateral enlargement of tonsill also should be ruled out with any growth. visit again to an ent surgeon for further evaluation
