Hi my Daughter woke up and all of a sudden her left Lymph node enlarged I took her to doctor did blood test and ultrasound that came back clear for virus glangaler fever etc he said come back in 2 weeks for another blood test and ultra sound. she had 1st ultra sound done it showed enlarged lymph nodes doctor explained 2 types viral and other one could it just go down and be fine or should I be worried as Im thinking it could be bad?
I am assuming your daughter is school going kid. If that is the case the common causes of her Lymph Node enlargement at her age would be Infectious Mononucleosis.
It is caused by a Virus called EBV. It has a self limiting course with fever subsiding after a week or so. If there is pain or fever you can take Over the counter Acetaminophen.
An important thing to consider is that she has to avoid contact sports and has to be isolated for a few days from school.
Hope it helps
