What Causes Enlarged Lymph Nodes And Blocked Salivary Gland?
It seems that I am always running a low grade fever. Three months ago I had an issue with pleurisy that lasted a week until i began taking GNC vitamins. Last month I was struggling with an enlarged lymph node and block saliva gland. Now I am dealing once again with sore tonsils. Could this be a prolonged infection or is it normal for these sporatic events to occur?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain sore tonsils occurs as a result of throat infection leading to Tonsillitis and it can be bacterial or viral in nature.. Any individual can have repeated episodes of throat infection many times in an year.. It is not a prolonged infection but a recurring episode.. Nothing to worry, do warm saline gargles. Take AZITHROMYCIN 500mg once daily for 5 days. Take Ibuprofen in case of pain .. Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily.. Take a soft diet and avoid spicy food.. Take rest..
It will resolve in 3 to 4 days and in case of no relief consult an ENT expert..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
