Pediatrician 's  Response
Liver enlargement can be due to many reasons, but the most likely reason is infective jaundice due to water or food contamination with hepatitis virus A. Please take him to his physician and request him to order blood tests to check bilirubin, liver enzymes etc. The ultrasound has already shown an enlarged liver, but now we need to confirm the cause of this enlargement. Treatment will depend on the cause.
