What Causes Elevated Prolactin Levels?

I ve very high levels of prolactin about 107.25 Ng/ml. I m a 38 year old Female with two kids, ahead 16 & 12yrs. Ive been exercising regularly from past 14 years. What should I be cutting from my diet. My periods are regular but every time just before the date I feel terrible due to PMS. Please help.

Hi, I think high prolactin levels can be due to various reasons. There can be stress or any drug intake or may be hypothalamus pituitary dysfunction. Thyroid disorders are commonly associated. So, check a thyroid profile also. It can be treated by medicines like cabergoline or bromocriptine. PMSSY can be treated with different medicines like hormones and SSRI. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
