What Causes Elevated Creatine Level?

I had an Abd US last friday due to a recent ED visit (Back pain radiating to my chest, fatigue, short of breath) to rule out problems with my gallbladder. According to my results, I have hepatomgelay with fatty replaced (17.7 cm). My pancreas is anechoic consistent with fatty replacement. My lab work from my ed visit stated my Creatine was elevated and my EGFR was at 60. Should I be concerned or do you think I am just overweight and need to lose exercise and eat right. My doctor has yet to call me with my results, I was able to obtain them from medical records myself.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Fatty replacement of the liver and pancreas does not occur when a person is overweight.
There are many other causes of fatty liver and fatty pancreas.
Alcoholism is the most common cause of fatty change in liver and pancreas.
Besides alcoholism, non-alcoholic causes are also implicated most common being diabetes mellitus, malnutrition, starvation, obesity etc.
Thus, if you have any of the above mentioned risk factors, they have to be removed to reverse the changes of fatty liver and fatty pancreas.
Creatine is released from the skeletal muscles.
Any injury to the skeletal muscles will lead to increase in level of creatine.
It can be corrected by increasing the intake of water.
Besides this you should also get the tests for renal functions.

Thanks and take care
