Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I do not usually have high blood pressure but it has spiked this week. I spent a night in the hospital and had a stress test which was totally negative. Not able to see my Dr. for two more weeks due to her only working part-time for a while. What could be wrong?
Hello, Elevated blood pressures occur most often due to a genetic predisposition to hypertension, that is, it runs in some families. Other causes can be eating too much salt, taking decongestants or problems with the adrenal glands. Avoid salt and see your doctor in two weeks. Regards
