What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Level?

I am experiencing spikes in my blood pressure, even after taking my meds. I walk treadmill 5 days a week for 80 minutes but pressure still around 140/80 or above. Last week I was unable to exercise and my pressure was normal averaging 90/80 to 120/80. Is it possible that the exercise could be causing my pressure to increase. If so why?

Hi, intense exercise does cause temporary increase in blood pressure which comes back to normal on resting.
If your resting pressure is normal, do not worry.
