What Causes Elevated SGPT After A Tummy Tuck Operation?

I have had a blood test which showed SGPT 88, Phosphates alkaline 149 and GT 165, after 16 days of a tummy tuck operation and i was taking tylenol for the first 10days; do medcins taken a week before the blood test affect the blood test or i have to check somethinh else?

Hi,
Thanks for asking the query.
Numerous medications are known to affect the liver enzymes. Tyelnol is one of them.
If you do not have any symptoms like jaundice, dark yellow urine or pale stools - you can stop the medication and repeat after fifteen days. If you have any of the symptoms, further investigation might be necessary.
You need to rule out causes like hepatitis or obstructive jaundice.
Get a bilirubin level done, both total, direct and indirect. If normal, nothing to worry and you can stop the medication
