What Causes Elevated SGOT And SGPT Values In Blood?

Dear sir I am facing a problem of SGOT and SGPT increase in count from last 5 years today I taken a it s showing SGOT 64u/l and SGPT 166u/l Earlier it was more and doctor diagnosis that I am having fatty liver Please suggest how I can control or make it normal I am overweight of 10 kg compare to my height Looking forward to get a clear answer from you doctor

Hi & welcome.
I appreciate your concern for the raised SGOT and SGPT.

It may be due to many reasons like hepatitis, alcohol intake, obesity, altered lipid profile, medicines etc.

Fatty liver is reversible condition with control of the above mentioned conditions.

You must avoid taking alcohol (if you consume it) & smoking, fatty vegetarian and non vegetarian meals especially the fast and junk foods, dry fruits, , take plenty of vegetables and fruits.

You must have an ideal body weight so do regular exercise, if your lipids (fat) are high, you must lower it by using appropriate drugs like statins, etc.
