What Causes Ear Pain And Hearing Loss?
i have 2 problems.
first one is problem with the ear.. i started to have pain in it since about a month. That was suddenly with no reason at all . it was diagnosed as sudden sensoneural loss of hearing ... i also hear sounds in my ear., between mild and moderate. The problem started since a month now.
i was hospitalized for two weeks, taking prednizone and inhalation ... with no use ... no improvement and the hearing teat was the same ... mild to moderate.
it aches me in the morning , and the tinnitus is still there.
my second probelm started since two day , bitterness in throat and mouth ...with irritated throat and more saliva
please advise

I have gone through your queries for hearing loss with tinnitus and change in taste and excess salivation.
As you said about your these two problems I would like to say that nerves concern with hearing and taste and salivation all passes through petrous part of temporal bone and middle ear so that should be investigated. Here I would like to suggest you these basic investigations-
1- Pure tone audiometry.
2- Impedance audiometry.
3- M.R.I. of ear.
4- Culture and sensitivity of saliva.
5- complete neurological examination of all cranial nerves.
6- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (fasting and postparendial), SGPT.
With the help of inferences of above investigations and their co-relation with findings of clinical examination one may get the clue for disease and that may be manage accordingly.
